How to use "Donate by venmo" on mobile devices

Copy and paste your Donate by Venmo link from your PMC Winter Cycle Dashboard into a text message asking for donations from any of your contacts who use Venmo. For example, "Please click this link to donate by Venmo to my PMC Winter Cycle fundraising to fight cancer. 100% of your donation will go to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute."

When they click the link, the question Open this page in "Venmo"? appears and the donor simply clicks OPEN, which takes them to their Venmo app pre-populated with the PMC’s Venmo account name (pan-mass-challenge) and your egift ID and name in the “What’s it for?” field. Your donor enters their donation amount and clicks Pay. It’s that fast and easy!

In 1-2 business days, your fundraising will be updated and you will receive a PMC Winter Cycle email notification with your donor’s name and donation amount.

SOCIAL MEDIA

You can also include your Donate by Venmo link in your social media posts and profiles (such as your Instagram bio).

Anyone can donate by Venmo with the Venmo button on your PMC Winter Cycle profile page.

Clicking on the Venmo button reveals your unique Flowcode image which your donor can point their phone’s camera at. A pop-up message will then appear prompting them to open Venmo. Their Venmo app will be pre-populated with the PMC’s Venmo account name (pan-mass-challenge) and your egift ID and in the “What’s it for?” field. Your donor enters their donation amount and clicks Pay. It’s that fast and easy!
