Facebook Fundraisers

PMC Winter Cycle Facebook Fundraisers are fully integrated with Winter Cycle riders' fundraising so donations made to a riders' Fundraiser are instantly credited to their Winter Cycle fundraising total! PMC Winter Cycle riders can start a Facebook Fundraise through their PMC Winter Cycle Dashboard.

Check

The PMC accepts checks made out to the PMC Winter Cycle, Pan-Mass Challenge, PMC, Jimmy Fund and/or Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Include the rider’s name and egift ID in the memo line.

Mail checks to your rider or directly to the PMC Winter Cycle at 77 4th Ave, Needham, MA 02494. Riders can also apply checks to their fundraising through mobile deposit in the PMC App (available for iOS and Android).

Tax acknowledgments are sent automatically for all donations over $250 and upon request for check donations below $250.

Donor Advised Funds

Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) are very effective charitable giving vehicles whereby donors set aside money to be granted to charitable organizations. You can support a PMC rider with a DAF grant.

DAFpay by Chariot

• Donate directly on our website from your DAF in just three clicks using DAFpay! Most DAF providers, including Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, and many others, participate in DAFpay.
• Search for a rider or team at donate.wintercycle.org or select DAFpay on a rider or team’s PMC Winter Cycle profile page to initiate your grant.
• How to use DAFpay: After you find the rider or team you want to donate to, click on the DAFpay button, search for your DAF entity, and then log into your DAF entity and complete your donation.

DAF Grants Outside of DAFpay

• When processing a DAF grant directly from your charitable giving account, search for the PMC by tax ID (04-2746912). Include the rider's name or PMC ID with the grant request.
• The PMC typically receives DAF grant payments within two weeks and credits a rider’s fundraising immediately upon receipt.

Matching Gifts

Double your donation! When applying for a company match, search for the Pan-Mass Challenge by tax ID (04-2746912). Complete your company’s online process or send paper matching forms with your check or online donation receipt to the PMC office at 77 4th Ave., Needham, MA 02494. Once we confirm receipt of the original donation, we apply the match to the rider’s fundraising account.

In addition to matches, many employers have grant programs based on volunteer hours or other criteria.

Stock Donations

When you donate appreciated securities, both the gift amount and charitable deduction are the fair market value of the stock and there is no capital gains tax.

IRA Donations

Make a tax-free gift to the PMC directly from your IRA. IRA distributions are exempt from taxable income and qualify for the Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).

When requesting an IRA distribution, reference the PMC's tax ID 04-2746912.

• You must be age 70 1/2 or older
• $100,000 maximum annual donation
• Download a sample letter to your IRA administrator to request a charitable gift transfer to the PMC.
